Acne is a skin condition that normally affects ages from 12 to 25. Both men and women can suffer from this condition.
The acne condition typically causes one or more of the following conditions:-
Several areas of the body can be affected these include; the face, back, chest, neck and arms.
The surface of the skin has many sebaceous glands, these glands produce an oily substance called sebum this normally keeps the skin smooth and supple.
Acne is caused when these glands become overactive thus too much oil is secreted.
The Sebaceous glands of people with acne are more sensitive to normal level of a hormone called testosterone. When too much testosterone is produced the sebaceous glands produce more oil. This produces blackheads and spots.
